Books, Snuggles and Laughter at Bedtime
Bedtime is one of my favorite parts of the day.

We have all had our struggles in life. No one has gotten off scott free. I have struggled as much as the next guy. Often I have felt physically visible, but not really seen. Today, after looking at our family photos I feel seen. I feel like our family exists in a way for me that it did not before. In a visual way. In a way outside of my mind and out in the world. I am overcome with gratitude for so many blessings in my life. I am grateful that you take the time to come to see what I have written or photographed. And for such a good friend as Miss Whitney and a family as lovely as the one Josh and I have made. Tara posted our family session with her. Go see it.

Ben's Camera No. 3
I have decided that the best way to understand your child's perspectivie on their world is to hand them a camera.
More From Ben's Camera
These were all taken by Ben with the exception of course of the one of him. Unless he is already doing self portraits. But I don't think Fisher Price has a self timer. I was going through them all and found one of Meagan getting dressed in the bathroom. He caught her with a naked bum. Somehow I don't think she knew our budding photographer was capturing her. The dirty little bugger. Needless to say I deleted that one. I have to draw the line SOMEWHERE. I particularly like the one of me with my camera in one hand and a Shiner in the other. Ah, heaven.
First Camera
Ben got his first camera for his birthday. We got him one of those Fisher Price kids digital cameras. He loves it. Here are some he took that day. No too shabby, eh?
