A Call to All Baby Photographers (especially in Texas and California)

I was listening to KUT yesterday on my way to take Sam to school and I heard a report that Whooping Cough (Pertusssis) is at its highest levels since 1962 in Texas. This is partly due to so many less vaccinated people. Infants cannot be vaccinated before the age of one and it can be fatal from them if they catch it from adults or older kids. I am sure many of you heard about Utah photographer Natalie Norton's son's tragic passing due to this disease. Now I am not going to get into a vaccination debate, but for all of you adults out there who are around babies (especially us photographers who are around many newborns and infants) you should get your shot today. I got mine yesterday and it was quick and painless. Let's all help guard everyone's kids against this disease that was non-existent for decades and is now back because we are all looking out for ourselves and our own families (I include myself in this equation) when we need to be thinking of our community at large. Maybe your doctor will even give you a lollipop : )
