We had a recent scare with our 9 year old corgi Talullah. She has an auto immune disease where her body is basically attacking itself and it was killing her. We thought all was lost but a last ditch effort at medication seems to be working. Lula takes cyclosporine, which is traditionally given to people who are about to have organ transplants. It keeps her immune system lowered so that she can stop this horrible disease from doing her in. I recently told someone that this medication costs us $100 per month and they said "Wow. That's a lot of money". But I say "medication: $100 per month. More time with Lula: priceless."
