Katy and Daniel are two of my favorite people. The were a true pleasure to work with and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and being part of their lives this last year. I am so grateful to them for giving me the honor of capturing this very special day. And I am indebted to Becky Brock of BZ Events, not only for planning such a beautiful wedding, but for thinking to present me as a possible photographer for their wedding. When I met with Katy and Becky (Daniel couldn't make the initial meeting), I will never forget when Katy said," Be as arty as you want." I almost fainted from happiness. And then when she asked me to shoot some film, I think I did pass out for a second from euphoria. So here is the first post of a few. It is the 'getting ready' section of the day. Usually on the last post of a wedding I list all of the vendors whom I had the pleasure to work with. For this wedding I am going to post it first. This group of vendors put their hearts and souls into this wedding and boy did it show. After many months of hard work I was able to come in and document the beautiful event it had become. I think photographers are often given too much credit for the aesthetics of an event. In reality it is the people who work for weeks and months behind the scenes who, as Becky likes to say, "make pretty" for me and I simply have to document it all for posterity. So I will list them here with a BIG THANKS for all of their dedication and hard work. I am bound to forget someone, so if anyone from the wedding reads this, please let me know if I have left anyone out.
More on Monday . . .
