A couple of months ago I awoke with a bad pain behind my right shoulder blade. It is not uncommon for me to wake up to some new ache or pain, especially as I get older. So I called my chiropractor to make an appointment. Usually she can get rid of any ache or pain in a few days or so. But no such luck with this one. A month or so ago my right hand started to fall asleep constantly and I had a pain running down my arm from said shoulder blade. So I saw my GP who referred me to a neurologist and a physical therapist. The pain running down my right arm has been terrible and it has made it really hard for me to work. This of course makes me feel more mortal that I would like to at this age. The neurologist told me today that the nerves that are pinched between my first two vertabrae will most likely heal on its own in the next six months. SIX MONTHS?! My first thought was that I need to get some better pain killers stat. I have already been depleting Josh's supply of leftover narcotics and I have the feeling that he will cut me off pretty soon. It is really hard for me to work at the computer unless heavily sedated, so I going to lighten up a bit on blog posts. Just one or two photos instead of ten a day. And only for a little bit. Just until I get better. Or at least until I get some better drugs.
