I realize these photos are out of order since I have already posted photos from Christmas day and these are of the night before, but I am an out of order kind of girl. We went to our good friends the Simon's house for Christmas Eve and some fondue.I must admit that I did miss my family's traditional "white dinner" that we have the night before Xmas. What is a white dinner you ask? It consists of my grandmother's chicken and dumplings, grits, and mashed potatoes. The only color you see on the plate is a bit of greenery from the green bean casserole, but that barely peeks its way through the fried onion topping. We pass out anti-heart attack medication with the after dinner mints. But the fondue was scrumptious. What's not to like? Bread and cheese. Our sitter Meagan told me a great line the other day—a balanced diet is a cookie in each hand. I think this rule could also apply to bread in one hand and cheese in the other. I think my favorite photo in this lot is the one below of Josh holding the Shiner. It's so Texas. Not to mention a rare shot of Josh drinking a brewski. He is usually more of a cocktail kind of guy. One more thing to love about him.
