Preston and Sarah were married last month at the beautiful Smith Family Chapel in Austin and their reception was at the UT Golf Club. The amazing Dave McLaughlin second shot for me and he was, as always, fabulous.flowers: Bouquets of Austin cake: Michelle's Patisserie band: The Pictures

The Dancers | Austin Wedding Photographer
I was so happy and honored to photograph Alyson and Jason's wedding reception. They actually got married a week before in St. Lucia, but they redid their vows and had a reception in Wimberley at the amazing Red Corral Ranch. They are both wonderful dancers and even perform a choreographed dance that was out of this world. My friend Katherine helped me shoot the event and many of the shots below are hers.Edited to add: I could not remember the name of the band when I posted this (my memory=sieve), but I saw it in one of the photos and wanted to post it because they were SO great. They're called the Kopy Kats so if you are getting married they warrant checking out.

A Wedding at Home | Austin Wedding Photographer
Jessica and Charlie got married a few weeks ago at Charlie's family home in Hallettsville. This was my kind of wedding. It was small, warm, full of homemade details. And Charlie and Jessie's first look was so heart warming that it even melted my cynical heart. There was just so much love at this wedding. Charlie's uncles did all the meat on the barbeque and Jessie's family all helped make the details perfect. It was such a special day. There were even dogs who added an extra touch of home. Two of my favorites are the bride and groom with their respective moms.

Here is the final installment of Kevin and Bri's amazing Chicago wedding. Thanks so much you two for including me. I had an amazing time and I was honored to be there. If you have missed the past posts, here they are:Sneak Peek The Boys The Rehearsal The Preparation The Wedding Part One

The Preparation | Austin Destination Wedding Photographer
We got up and at 'em early Saturday morning with a trip to the beauty parlor where Bri's hair was transformed into one of the coolest dos I have ever seen. It was almost a sculpture. Then we headed back to the hotel for Jeannette (maid of honor and mother of the bride) and Jenell and Katie (the bridesmaids) to start getting ready as well.
The Rehearsal Dinner | Austin Destination Wedding Photographer
Kevin and Bri's rehearsal dinner was in the Signature Room on the top floor of the John Hancock Building in Chicago. What a view! It was astonshingly beautiful. Kevin gave a heart breakingly moving speech. Bri was supposed to give one too, but the normally stage fright free Bri was overcome with emotion and quit at about word three. It was a lovely evening with a sweet slideshow playing with photos of the bride and groom at all stages of life. A wonderful start to a very special weekend.
Bri with the Boys
Kevin's (the groom) mom wanted a photo of her grandchildren with her son and his new wife Bri taken after the wedding to use on her holiday card this year. She talked about how she has been dreaming of it all year. I was feeling the pressure and I must admit that formals in a church are NOT my forte. But I was pretty happy with how this one turned out. And I love the expression on Bri's face because it is one I have seen a million times before and is just so her.

My 15 Minutes | Austin Wedding Photographer
The wonderful Becky Brock posted me on the NEAWP blog as this month's featured vendor. And that girl has me down cold. She is definitely someone I need to have a few stiff drinks and a couple of laughs with. I first met Becky when I second shot for the fabulous Shannon at Josh and Erica's wedding at Star Hill Ranch last November and I loved her sense of humor and her irreverence. I just love me someone with some good old fashioned irreverence. I just joined the NEAWP and so far it seems like a great group. I had to let go of my general rule which is that "I would not join any club that would have someone like me for a member" (Groucho Marx). If you are a wedding vendor, they are offering half off their memberhip now, so jump on board soon. If nothing else, it is a great excuse to get out of the house and away from your computer for a few hours and chat it up with some great people. Next time I promise to get better directions and to put some lipstick on so they don't kick me out of the club. These people know how to dress, which simply means that THEY do not walk around with tee shirts with spit up on them. Imagine that. Laurenn and Alex on Intimate Weddings | Destination Wedding Photographer
Laurenn and Alex's Las Vegas wedding is featured on the Intimate Weddings blog today so be sure to check it out. Intimateweddings.com is a great resource for those of us, like me, who prefer intimate and small to the bigger shindigs. A big shout out to Christina Friedrichsen for putting this all together : ) Bonnie Berry is an Austin, Texas destination wedding photographer.
Jessica and Shawn | Austin Wedding Photographer
I met Shawn and Jessica when I did their engagement session in downtown Austin. I immediately liked them and pretty much begged them to photograph their wedding. I just knew it would be fun. Jessica and I did her bridal session a few weeks ago and we had a great time. They were married on January 17th at St Martin's Church with a wonderful reception at Mercury Hall. The flowers were done by Bouquets of Austin and the catering was by Dagar's Catering. Now that the wedding is over I don't know when my next Jessica and Shawn fix will be. Hopefully when they have a baby. But as I told Jessica, no hurry on that one. Bonnie Berry is an Austin, Texas child, family and wedding photographer.
Jessica | Austin Wedding Photographer
I had the privilege of photographing Jessica and Shawn's beautiful wedding on Saturday. Last month Jessica, her mother Gail and I headed out to take Jessica's bridal portrait. We had so much fun and I could hardly wait for their wedding, partly because I have been dying to post these. So now that the groom has seen the bride, here are Jessica's beautiful bridals. And here is one of Jess and her wonderful mom (aren't they adorable?) Bonnie Berry is an Austin based child, family and wedding photographer.

It has been a rough day. Really. Very. Rough. But this has turned it around for me. I had two readers of the blog Offbeat Bride let me know that they found a post about Laurenn and Alex's wedding there. I was tickled pink. It takes so little to please me these days. AND they have even written a book called Offbeat Bride: Taffeta-Free Alternatives for Independent Brides (great title). So thanks Ariel for the post and thanks so much to Rachel and Garnprinzessin for the heads up.
Josh and Erica | Austin Wedding Photographer
I have to start off by apologizing for the fact that I have posted WAY too many photos. But I got so attached to so many of them. The wedding of Erica and Josh was held at the amazing Star Hill Ranch. I second shot for photographer extraordinaire, Shannon Cunningham. See her beautiful photos from the wedding here. It was coordinated by a woman who can juggle way more things than I can, Becky, with the assistance of Lorraine and Sara. The band was to die for. They are called The Fatal Attractions and they played eighties cover songs. If I were getting married again I would book them in a heartbeat. The irony was not lost on me that the bride and groom and their peers thought that this was 'retro' music. The scrumptious cake (I actually had a piece for a change) was done by Michelle's Patisserie and the food was catered by Dagar’s. The beautiful makeup was done by Katie Astoria with Modern Muse Makeup and the amazing flowers were created by Melanie Tipton with Last Petal. And they danced the Horah which is my favorite. It brings me back to being thirteen again. Between that and the music, I think this wedding made me feel ten years younger. Bonnie Berry is an Austin wedding photographer.
The Grand Finale | Destination Wedding Photographer
And finally the last installment of the fabulous Las Vegas wedding. A big thanks to Laurenn and Alex for including me in their amazing day. I was honored to be a part of it. And kisses to Alex for finally pulling my camera off my body and saving me from myself. Bonnie Berry is a destination wedding photographer.
Hairspray | Destination Wedding Photographer
Here is part two of the photos from Laurenn and Alex's wedding in Las Vegas. This was the morning of the big day when Laurenn and all of her bridal party had their hair done. They went to this great salon called Curl Up N Dye which had some amazing decor. All of the stylists were great, but I really loved Lety, who did Laurenn's hair and the woman who did Kelly Sue's hair, whose name I regret I cannot remember. And all of their hairdos looked fabulous. Bonnie Berry is a destination wedding photographer.
The Nail Salon | Destination Wedding Photographer
I am still making my way through the wedding photos, so I thought I would blog this wedding in stages since the photos cover a few days. These photos are from the first day we arrived when the girls were getting their nails done. I couldn't pass up an opportunity to photograph manis and pedis being done. It's almost as good as getting your own. And little Henry was the wedding's unofficial mascot. His mom, Kelly Sue, was Laurenn's maid of honor. Bonnie Berry is a destination wedding photographer.
