Read MoreI had all of these grand plans for the two weeks the boys were home. Needless to say, I have not been living up to them. One of the things I planned to do was to write much more on this blog, instead of just posting photos all of the time. I found that I am out of the habit of writing. I have been cooking, which has been fun. I made more of my favorite, matzoh ball soup. Otherwise there has been much tv watching and laying around the house. I threw my back out, which has been no fun at all. I have enjoyed the break from work, but I have missed it as well. I have been reading, reading and reading, which I love. And eating, eating, eating which I also love, but I am beginning to feel a bit like a balloon that is about to take off. I have so many New Year's resolutions that I need ten pages just to write them down. I hope you all have a fabulous new year celebration. I plan to drink from Friday to Sunday, but I have become such a lightweight that I probably won't last long.

Read MorePoor Ben has been sick. Really sick. We went to the doctor's office today and even she does not know what it is. Luckily he is turning a corner tonight. I am heading into my last stretch of working before the holidays. One thing I want to do soon is write a really meaty post. It has been all pictures and no words around here and I want to change that. I love the release writing gives me, but it is all too quickly thrown by the wayside when life gets hectic. And no time is crazier for a photographer than the holidays. Yet I still manage to find the time to take photos of sleeping children. This shot was taken with a Polaroid 600SE.
